Dr. Ara Babloyan, 45 was appointed Armenia's Minister of Health in
December 1991

Born into a family of doctors, Dr Babloyan graduated from the Yerevan
Institute of Medicine, and was awarded a PhD from the University
of St Petersburg in 1987 Dr Babloyan established a urological center
in Yerevan in 1990 and in May 1991 he performed Armenia's first kidney
