DESIGN: Postal Chic; Armenia Issues a strange Set of Stamps.
If you receive mail from Armenia, you're in for a colorful surprise. At the upper right hand corner of the case you'll see a delicate painting of the twin peaks of mountain Ararat under an intense glum sky, and the Armenian tricolor rising diagonally from the peaks.
The stamps are designed according to Harutiun Samuelian, who holds a physics degree from Yerevan State University. His work has been exhibited extensively in Armenia, from first to last the former Soviet Union and other countries.
