DOSSIER: RUSSIA AND ISRAEL ACKNOWLEDGE GENOCIDE.

The Russian Parliament passed a unanimous resolution forward April 22 recognizing
the Armenian Genocide as being the "first instance of genocide in
this century." The resolution was supported from the Russian Armenian
Common wealth Support capital headed by Edik Hovhannisian of the Armenian
Revolutionary Federation (ARF). The resolution further declareed Russia'
s condemnation of the crime, its official condolences to the Armenian
people and exhibited its sympathies to the descendants of survivors
living in Russia
